Aim:The main aim of the training course is to prepare and support youth workers and youth leaders, working with minoroty groups, who face difficulties concerning their social human rights. During the course, participants will be develop projects and associative strategies based on participation, intercultural education and Human Rights in a European perspective.Objectives:•to empower and develop the competence of youth workers and youth leaders in designing and implementing projects based on social cohesion;•to support and promote minority youth participation from the local level to the national and European level;•to enable participants to address issues of relevance to the course such as cultural identity, Europe, discrimination, social exclusion, cultural diversity and majority-minority relations and their relevance to youth projects;•to develop practical approaches and methods for translating citizenship, social cohesion, intercultural learning and human rights education into youth work practice;•to provide information and facilitate contacts with the European institutions and youth policies relevant to the issues of the project;•to motivate and enable participants to share their acquired knowledge and experience and to act as multipliers after the project.Themes: cultural identity, Europe, discrimination, social exclusion, cultural diversity and majority-minority relations.Methodology: The programme incorporated a methodology designed to ensure the basic principles of active participation, holistic learning, intercultural learning, as group work, group activities, presentations, workshops and personal assignments. The programme also provided space to share experience and know-how.Activities and target group: 7 days training course with 40 participants (youth workers, youth leaders, activists, trainers) from 12 NGO’s from 12 countries (BG,IT,LV,GR, RO,PT,MT,SK,EE,PL,HU,UK).
