AbilityTraining - Training for youth workers working with people with disabilities is a three stage project. The first goal is to transfer knowledge about experiential learning methodology, theory, methods and instruments of outdoor education to trainers, youth workers, who are working with persons with physical or mental disabilities. Because of their disabilities, these people are often socially excluded. Through our course, we intend to train and to specialise a number of 26 trainers who will be able to deal with the specific problems of this target group. After the training the participants will be able to organise outdoor programs for physically or mentally disabled persons and they will help them to become self-confident and to involve themselves in the society as active citizens with equal rights. This is the way how we will reach our second goal. We considered this topics are very important because in our society are very much disabled persons who are fighting with low self confidence, they are often excluded or overprotected, they can not use their own competences. With this project we would like to help them truth developing the youth workers, trainers and social workers knowledge to be able to organize outdoor programs for disabled persons. We considered that is an innovative method because, with the help of getting out from their comfort zone, and facing with challenges, it is help and develop more efficiently the disabled people. Each activity in the project will be based on a non-formal education methodology – experiential education through outdoor activities. The three big steps of the project are:1.
