Majority of the participants will be trainers in the project. There will also be participants from business world, as it is an essential part of vocational training. Our participants include School Principal, Project Coordinator, Vocational Guides and field teachers from Simav Industrial Vocational High School, all of whom have received pedagogical formation training, and add up to 27 people including participants from business world.
In order for the project to reach its goal, it is essential for guidance counsellors to attend to this project; they are the ones running the guidance process and classes, working on students' personal, social, educational problems for a solution, executing vocational guidance procedures. Vocational guidance must be performed in a fashion to distinguish personal, intellectual and talent specialties of students, all of whom are different in various aspects, and guide them to a profession to fit their interests, desires and skills. The most important duty about this falls to teachers and business world. Despite keeping on the agenda, a consistent and efficient vocational training had not been in practice in our country, hence this project was born. Our group's aims and requirements include resolving this deficiency in our School and Simav business scene, on-site observation of how and with which methods and approaches the well-established vocational guidance system in Europe operates, raising awareness in the county by sharing all our information and experience with all the agents in the scene and resolving this deficiency.
Our project's targets include awareness on the importance of the notion that vocational guidance is as a sensitive issue for “inclusive students” as any other 9th grader in the 12 year education system, researching what resources Europe uses for vocational guidance and needs for training of counsellors, and ensuring full and equal participation of such students in the society. Besides, special purposes include participants' acquaintance to European cultural differences, use and improve their language skills, add to their personal development as well as their Professional development, get more informed with lifetime experience they receive and pass it on to students to raise individuals who appreciate and get successful in their profession.
3 primary activities will be performed: Cultural, pedagogical and language preparation for participants, Mobility abroad, Reporting and dissemination. Following mobility abroad and end of project, participants will reflect their knowledge and experience gained from this Project into their teaching/training programs, after Provincial Directorate of National Education's approval; they will get to know their student with right guidance, s/he will be fully supported for self recognition and success in his/her interests, desires and skills; teachers, now more skilled, will give classes along with vocational guidance and improve educational quality; student's parents will be actively involved in guiding process to prevent any negative attitude and behaviour.
5. Summary after mobility:
Education Practices and Technology Association withdrawed from the Project since they couldn't find adequate participants having the necessary qualities.For this reason the mobility was performed with 23 people.All of our participants increased their Professional and personal development thanks to the visits to institutions which are parallel with their institutions in our country.Also they improved their foreign language and they have experienced cultural interaction.All of these experiences are shared with their colleagues in their work places and institutions as a part of dissemination activity and so the awareness increase and the results can reach a wide area.The Guidance Commision is going to be organised from the by the participants of our school and thus student and family cooperation will be increased in vocational guidance process.Besides the students will be helped to recognize themselves and notice their interests and desires by the scanning tests.Our field teachers and the commision of the Chamber of Commerce which is responsible for the education will make the introduction of the jobs in a practical way and they will analyze the reactions of the students and our District National Education will universalize the results of the tests to the other Vocational and Technical High Schools in our district.Apart from this they will carry the confirmation operations of the test results and help all the students to choose correct profession .As a result; in a long period happy individuals will be trained and they will be working in their own jobs choosen by themselves.
