Description AALIANCE2 is building further upon the AALIANCE Innovation platform (2008-2010) to:1. Transform the existing AALIANCE Community in a long-term sustainable network:a central 'meeting point' for Ambient Assisted Living (AAL)-related issues and stakeholders in Europea European Technology Platform on integrated solutions for the societal challenge of demographic ageing.a central node for global interaction on AAL.2. Find solutions for major challenges in AAL by aligning relevant activities of European industry and research institutions:consensus on research priorities: AAL Roadmap and Strategic Research Agenda for the upcoming decadesidentification of standardisation requirements for ICT and Wellbeing (incl. care and healthcare standards)recommendations on effective regulation and overcoming market barriers in AAL marketsmonitoring state-of-the-art and AAL market developments in North America and Asia3. Support the implementation of coherent AAL strategies of the public and private sector.
