In cooperation with different local arts & culture entities, AACA develops travel informational, cultural & artistic initiatives for young travellers in Europe and especially in Athens. To carry out this project we propose to organize:" Providing information on Athens events, cultural initiatives and city happenings (producing a weekly flyer with a selection of the events of the city, informing orally travellers, organising an occasional or regular city walk, informational boards and posters and other actions)" Promoting "in-house" artistic & cultural events such as exhibitions of art works (organising temporary exhibitions of photos, paintings or other art works having as an object travels traditional rituals, multicultural experiences; taking part to local festivals; providing space to artists for meeting and creating; promoting meetings and parties for the international community living in Athens to integrate with locals and creating a meeting and informational point; establishing cooperation between AACA and other local and international entities involved in the art scene)" Developing travel informational, cultural and artist initiatives in Europe for young creative travellers" Implementing a webpage and using all contemporary web channels where young people can find useful information and discover young (alternative) cultural & arts life in the city. " Using the social media network websites, such as facebook, as means of communication.Target travellers will be: a. those coming into the hostel as a first an easiest contact for the volunteer (to this purpose we also propose one day a week a direct contact with the travellers through the reception activities), b. a list of contacts we have achieved through the years of foreigners interested in the city life that are either living or spending some time in Athens, c. local friends and members of the association and the volunteer will take care of expanding the association local members by promoting membership to all the people taking part to the association events.We are already hosting an EVS volunteer and we had during the last year our first volunteer. We are very satisfied with the acivities performed during these projects.
