The project included Melanie Daniel as the young volunteer going from Austria to Azerbaijan, as well as the Mary Centre in Baku as her hosting organisation and Grenzenlos as her sending organisation. This was a new cooperation and an exchange between Austria and Azerbaijan that has not been taken place since a very long time. In the course of the approval and planning of this application Anna, the volunteer mentioned in the title had to withdraw her participation. In Melanie we’ve found a suitable and motivated candidate who got involved in the activities of the Mary centre in Baku, where she had the possibility to learn about the different activities of the centre and had the chance to share her ideas and realised small projects herself. The project was part of the MELANGE program, the EVS programme in Vienna strongly supported by the city of Vienna/wienXtra where Grenzenlos set up networks for volunteers and international partners and host partners and volunteers receive special support before during and after their EVS.
