Project title: “A MODERN SCHOOL WITH A FORWARD-LOOKING APPROACH”“A MODERN SCHOOL WITH A FORWARD-LOOKING APPROACH”, promoted by the “Tito Acerbo” Technical Institute in Pescara, is a project aimed at supporting the school staff that is going to take part in training courses in countries of the European Union. According to the Institute's needs in terms of quality improvement by means of:- the use of English in CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning –,- the use of new technologies and the class 3.0 in didactics,- the development of knowledge and skills in order to reduce early school leaving,- training in English as a foreign language to exchange ideas and experiences in an international context,participation of the school staff in structured training courses in countries of the European Union will give:- skill in embedding CLIL activity in the organisation of teaching,- a better use of ICT in didactics,- a general improvement of the quality of teaching and management,- a positive outcome of good practices in the territory.A basic knowledge of English – at least at the A2 level of the CEFRL – is required on the part of the twenty-five candidates, in addition to:- readiness to take part in a mobility experience,- motivation and interest in the chosen sector of training and the project's topics,- commitment to spread the outcomes and the potential benefits of the experience in didactics and management.The participants involved in the project could:- improve their foreign language levels,- improve competences in the professional field,- acquire specific skills in CLIL,- contribute to reducing early school leaving,- improve an interactive understanding of practices and education systems in different countries,- improve the quality of teaching to motivate students to remain at school,- improve understanding of different social, linguistic and cultural environments,- enlarge the opportunities in the professional field,- enhance motivation and satisfaction in daily teaching and learning activities,- promote changes in order to open the school and its territory to an international vision.
