A GOOD EDUCATION EQUALS A GOOD JOB
End date: Aug 23, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Having a job has always had an important role for human beings and nowadays it sometimes represents an emergency for young people and adults. The global crisis we are experiencing has changed our lives, expectations and needs. A lot of people are unemployed and most of them can’t find a new job because they haven’t got the necessary competences; moreover, they don’t understand they have to update their knowledge and skills in order to face new challenges in the labour market. For example, technology has been developed a lot in the previous decades: it has become a part of our lives and it has affected the demand for new jobs. In the past people used to have just a single job for their life; now people have to deal with different jobs requiring high/different level qualifications . The main aim of this Project was to support our students in their future choices giving them the basic skills and competences needed for their employability. We wanted our students to be aware of :1. the importance of job in their future lives,2. the role of education and constant training (updating knowledge and skills),3. the social dimension of employment and unemployment. It will be a cross-curricular project which will be part of the school curriculum in each country. A lot of subjects will be involved: mother tongue languages, foreign languages, history, geography, art, music and ICT.It has been a cross-curricular project which was part of the school curriculum in each country. A lot of subjects have been involved: mother tongue languages, foreign languages, history, geography, art, music and ICT.We have worked to promote the acquisition of transversal competencies such as learning to learn, digital competence, sense of initiative and creativity. We have planned activities to give our students the opportunity to deal with the future challenges, to develop links with European schools, to strengthen pupils’ motivation to learn foreign languages.
