The Group of Schools Santos Simões is an educational institution of Guimarães county. It has an autonomy contract with the Ministry of Education and develops an educational project with the temporal application of 2015/2018 under the theme "School Group Santos Simões - We in Guimarães, Guimarães in the World".The grouping is formed by six schools, and it offers pre-school education, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of primary and secondary education, with seventy groups / classes, with different educational areas.It has 1541 children/students, 132 teachers and 41 non-teaching staff and it has established partnerships for the fulfilment of the Annual Plan of Activities and Training Plan.The decision to present our project "The School Changing the Meeting of Europa_KA101" the application AC1 - Individual mobility for learning purposes (education staff Mobility of School Education) Erasmus +, is based on the need of training development to acquire skills in key areas identified in the Educational Project School Plan for Training and Improvement Plan for the next three years 2015/2018, in an European Strategic Development Plan for the internalization of the school in a dimension of global sharing.With this in mind, we intend to intervene in three key areas:- Key Skills (math/literacy);- Dropouts / Fighting School Failure;- Improving the quality of the institution and/or methods.trying to achieve the targets set out in the educational project related to the educational success, strengthening the identity of the grouping, preventing early school leaving and enhancing the training of educators.The European Support Office Project formed by a member of the staff of the Principal, Project Coordinator and the Coordinators of the European and French clubs will be the responsible of the Strategic Action Plan.This office will have as functions to outline the guidelines of the project, from the preparation, mobility, dissemination, evaluation to the selection of participants using pre-established criteria according to a profile of skills in the areas of intervention, availability for training and dissemination of learnt skills. These teachers must have experience of coordination and participation in school internationalization projects.The project is planned in three phases:1) Preparation: linguistic preparation/intercultural actions of participants with human resources at school, organization of meetings with participants to set appointments/establishment of aims and to organize mobility.2) Mobility:2.1) 5 Structured courses:a) Estrategias docentes para aumentar l autonomia y la motivación para aprendientes de lenguas extranjeras, in Barcelona, Spain for 1 participant;b) Best Practices Benchmarking in Helsinki, Finland / Tallinn-Estonia for 4 participants;c) Structured Study Visit to Schools / Institutes & Training Seminar in Dublin, Ireland for 4 participants;d) Structured Study Visit to Schools / Institutes & Training Seminar in Reykjavik, Iceland, for 4 participants;e) Spice Up Your Teaching Ideas – Language Teaching Methodology in Practice Today, in St. Julian's, Malta for 2 participants;2.2) A Mobility of Jobshadowing at the Lycée Chateaubriand in Rennes - France to 5 participants;3) Dissemination: Fulfilment of Training Sessions with Credits, workshops and seminars for teachers, presentation of mobility results of jobshadowing to the host school, publication of articles in the newspapers of the city, dissemination of the actions in the school, on website and on the Facebook school. With the realization of this project it is expected it to contribute in the short and long term:- to help in achieving the four goals globalizing twenty seven strategic objectives set out in the Education Project;- to carry out the Action Plan provided in the Autonomy Agreement;- to enrich the Training Plan and Annual Plan School activities by giving them a European dimension;- Implementation of continuous improvement of the school through the dissemination, in partnership with the Training Centre Francisco de Holanda, in a process of cooperation taking into account the target audience (132 teachers and 1540 students), broadcasting what was learnt, using a process of improvement and innovation of students' learning processes with impact in the classroom;- Internationalization of School and openness to the whole of contemporary society and to broaden new horizons in the School Activities Plan;- Enhancing Identity, management and administration of the school, by improving its reputation and recognition of the identity value of its Educational Project, in a current reality more competitive and globalizing reality.
