With unemployment and uncertainty on the rise, it is important now more than ever before, to build a strong personal brand. Personal branding is the process of clear and consistent communication of one's unique skills and passions and how they are used to solve problems in unique ways. 6-days training course ''A Different Viewpoint'' is geared around the self-awareness or connecting with skills, passions, purpose, and experiences that make one unique, authentic differentiation or learning to use skills and passions to solve problems in unique ways, and communication and connection - communicating problem solving abilities in ways that are consistent, meaningful, and visible. Such an approach allows participants of the course to start an open and honest critique of themselves, to understand their strengths, abilities and opportunities using a variety of techniques like work with art and drama tools, group simulations, creative thinking tools, social media, coaching and personal feedback.Training course is designed for young unemployed people, who are willing to explore opportunities of self-employment, entrepreneurship or mobility, as well as for mentors, coaches and youth workers assisting and providing training and consultations to young job seekers. It involves 25 participants and experts from the host country Latvia and from Lithuania, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania and Italy. For a start, participants will understand the concept and importance of personal branding. After which, they will explore activities that contribute to understanding their strengths and weaknesses. Hence from there, the trainers will share with them the different tools for personal branding. Internal and external forces in career path for each individual will be identified. Participants will work a lot with self-evaluation and feedback from others. Once their personal brand, career and learning plan is developed, participants will learn to build the skills necessary to gain and maintain employment. Number of scenarios will be simulated to allow participants to improve their communication, networking and presentation skills - from pitching to meeting the potential employer in the lift. Course will be concluded with exploring entrepreneurship and volunteering in the third sector as options to make a good use of time while unemployed. Course will provide a step-by-step guide for conducting self-analysis, creating a unique identity, defining objectives, discovering passions, creating a plan, putting that plan into action, and monitoring progress. Participants will enhance insight in who they are and how it matches with the image that other people hold of them. Young people will explore which image they want to create of themselves and how they can influence it. The training will result in a self-made brand template, which can be used to stand out the crowd.
