This project was applied for by the CO / SO Rock Solid Foundation for international youthwork for a client of Humanitas. it was an EVS placement for 1volunteer from the netherlands for three weeks in Romania, Constanta. . She had an accompanying person working with her. Humanitas is an organisation working in the field of mental disabilities, Humanitas has a lot of different locations and possibilities for volunteers to get to know the health care system in the Netherlands providing possibilities for people with these disadvantages. They have a lot of living groups and working places. An own restaurant ran by clients of the organisation. Office workers, management, ambulant workers, teaching etc. etc. one of the clients now wanted to be volunteer and did focus on learning the differences in the society regarding this work field in romania. she did coöperate with a day care centre for disabled in the organisation. she was activly involved in the different activities. The volunteer did also attend Romanian classes for foreigners, The duration of the activity was 3 weeks and did start 22 august 2015 We expected the impact of this project to be very big again, especially because the Netherlands are considered as being very evoluated in the field of working with disabled people, so the impact on the volunteer and her home was expected be big and it was indeed. she came back after 1 month sharing all these ideas and competences. this will motivate others and the organisation where she lives to move on with this new opportunities. for her personally it is something that she is still talking about every single day, and in this moment we are looking for her what could be the best opportunities for follow-up and making her personal growth even bigger.
