The project starts from the assessment of the Final Joint Recommendations on the Empowerment of young people for political participation in the democratic life in Europe, drawn up at the end of the IV Cycle of Structured Dialogue through the process of collaboration between young people and decision / policy makers conducted in the last three Youth Conference in Rome, Riga and Luxembourg. In the recommendations there is an invitation to promote and facilitate relations between youth organizations and institutions not only at European level but also at National and Local level, by building local youth forum / platforms.This project proposal, therefore, aims to promote and facilitate the aggregation of young people and youth organizations in the local territories and the start of the processes of formation of regional/local forums, almost totally absent in Italy.They will be involved in the activities 150 young participants from all over Italy, aged between 18 and 35 years who have demonstrated interest in activities of active citizenship and political participation in the democratic life of the Country. It will be organized a Youth Meeting for a period of four days in Rome, which will alternate in workshops, meetings with experts and decision / policy makers, simulations. It will be used the methodology of non-formal education, in particular the peer to peer method and the Open Space Technology. The project aims to raise awareness of youth on their role and their potential in terms of participation in decision making; also it intends to start the process of establishment of local forums. The main long-term benefit is the real youth participation and collaboration with the institutions within recognized and structured platforms that facilitate dialogue, comparison, dissemination of results widespread.
