PROJECT
FINISHED
5 SENSES was an Inclusive Youth Exchange which will took place in Hungary, Csattogó-völgy between 6th and14th of April 2015.
The project was intended for 44 young people from six different countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Portugal and Hungary), young people with fewer opportunities were included in the project (youth with reduced mobility). Participants explored different topics such as mutual understanding, tolerance, social issues, personal conflicts, intercultural learning and active participation in the society.
The aim of this project was to raise awareness about everyone's own ability to communicate with him/herself and the others, in order
to share opinions, avoid disharmony, learn from the environment and from the persons, using all five senses. The participants
worked on their own feelings and ways of expression offered by their body.
Several activities were planned for the whole duration of the event, following methodologies derived from the non-formal education.
During the workshops, all of the participants took active part by creating and sharing ideas, while also had some visits to
learn in specific places and situations about the possibilities given by the use of the senses.
On this use of 5 senses on the interaction between the players were based all of the activities. These were specifically aimed to work on self-expression and mutual trust within an intercultural environment, so that the participants could reflect on various aspects of a
heterogeneous society and bring along with them experiences and practices aimed to mature the perspective of themselves in the
community.
