FINISHED
The project we named “Pre-School Education Internship In Five Different EU Countries” is prepared with the partnership of Artuklu Mehmet Akif Nuhoğlu Girls' Technical and Vocational High School, Dargeçit Girls' Technical and Vocational High School and Karapınar Galip Güpgüpoğlu Multi-Program High School. The purpose of our project is to enable the students trained in our schools to improve their professional knowledge by doing internship work in the EU level kindergarten environment in the field of Child Development and Education. Our students are unable to fully implement the theoretical training due to various inabilities in the domestic kindergartens where they do their internship work besides their practical training in schools. With the project, we will enable the students to do works that meet the need of experiential learning-by-doing at work in their fields. Especially in small residential districts, there are no qualified and competent private enterprises where the students can do internship works.
Our students try to do their internship work in the kindergartens of primary schools however since our country lacks qualified public schools with regard to pre-school education, their practical training remains incomplete. In the project it is planned that 80 female students do pre-school internship in different EU countries. Our partner school quotas are determined as 26 students from Mehmet Akif Nuhoğlu Girls' Technical and Vocational High School, 26 students from Dargeçit Girls' Technical and Vocational High School and 28 students from Karapınar Galip Güpgüpoğlu Multi-Program High School. In student selection, schools will give priority to 11th and 12th-grade students. Since Child Development and Education branches in our schools have no male students, all participants will be selected among female students.
Following are the main activities planned to carry out in the project;
1. The first mobility in the project will be conducted with the group composed of 16 students and three companion instructors by means of IMOT Agency located in the city of Cadiz in the Andalusian region of Spain between 01/12/2014 and 14/12/2014.
2. The second mobility of the project will be to the social life center named Centro Social da Paróquia de Arcozelo in the city of Barcelos, Portugal. 16 students and three instructors will participate in the mobility. The mobility period is between 04/01/2015 and 17/01/2015.
3. The third mobility in the project will be conducted to Pogány Frigyes Szakközépiskola Vocational High School located in Budapest, Capital of Hungary. The determined date for the mobility is the two week-period between 01/02/2015 and 14/02/2015 when the internship and education activities go on in Hungary.
4. We will perform the fourth mobility in Brondby City in Denmark with the partnership of SOSU C Social- og Sundhedsuddannelses Centret. Our partner is a public institution that functions in the social services field in the city. Our students will do internship work in the kindergartens of our partner, accompanied by its teachers in charge. 16 students and three companion instructors will participate in our mobility. The mobility period of time is between 22/03/2015 and 04/04/2015.
5. The fifth and final mobility in the project will be conducted in partnership with a pedagogy vocational school named Stredni Pedagogicka Skola Evropska located in the Capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. The mobility time period is between 03/05/2015 and 16/05/2015.
During all mobilities conducted in the project, our foreign partners will provide all the logistical support our groups may need. They have accepted the responsibility of the organization particularly for the issues such as accommodation, feeding, transportation, guidance, orientation, protection, observation and preparation of various cultural activities. Making our students do internship in their kindergartens or in local kindergarten enterprises for the practical internship training which is the purpose of the project is also among the topics on which we agreed with our foreign partners. For the project management and execution of work on a regular basis, a project board on which each partner school has a representative is set up. Each school is to determine its representative and these representatives are to work together as the project board in a communicative and cooperative way.
Our entire goal in the project is carrying out the works that will provide our students to graduate as better trained individuals in their fields. Especially considering the educational hardships that girls experience in the cities where our schools are located, it will be a logical approach to express that the impact of overseas experience to be gained will last for many years. That the participants are chosen among the female students and that the employability of our students will increase in coming years owing to the impact of overseas internship experience are other
