3T Portfolio / Teams and Talents in the Third sector: a Collective Competence Portfolio Approach

The project is to adapt the competence (e)Portfolio approach so it can be used by teams of workers, thereby reinforcing the adaptational capacities of organisations in the social economy sector.The activities of those working in the social economy sector are part of a socially-oriented service economy, marked by the need to adapt to new demands and new constraints (public tender procedures, for example), while continuing to play a pioneer rôle in the emergence and consolidation of new services (such as lifestyle and home-care services).Setting in motion an organisation’s potential to evolve and to redeploy its activities requires a new « orchestration » of all the skills and competences involved, both on an individual and collective level.The competence portfolio approach, as it is usually deployed on an individual level, is a powerful tool for promoting experience as capital, and for shedding light on a person’s competences and potential. Adapted to be used in collective contexts, the ïmpact of this approach will extend to domains such as the organisation’s global mission, the directions in which it could develop, its acknowledgment of the professionalism of its employees, articulating each one’s position such that it evolves with the organisation’s adaptation to changes in its environment.
