The EVS project “3rd time” will start in October 2016 and last 17 months in Birzai town, Lithuania. Project involves 7 partners: coordinating organization, 3 sending organizations from Portugal, Romania and Russia which will send four volunteers into three hosting organizations. Objectives of the project include improvement and expansion of activities locally for children and local youth, creation of spaces for development of volunteers’ skills and competencies to increase their employability, exchange knowledge and skills in children and youth free time facilitation, introduction of local youth with possibilities to gain valuable experience in voluntary activities, which may remarkably increase their employability, contribution in youth empowerment to become competitive in labor market, promotion of volunteering locally in Birzai area and internationally using social networks of partners involved.The main targeted beneficiaries are children and local youth as well as other local community members tending to get more involved locally. Hosting organizations are children day care center, foster home and library. All of them highly value holistic attitude to person's development, so there will be big flexibility for volunteers to choose fields of self development upon their interests. During the project four volunteers will develop educational activities for children and youth and will have activities involving local community members.All the activities will be based on non formal education principles and will be directed to increase employability of volunteers and variety of motivating and practically useful activities for children and youth in remote area of Lithuania. Project activities will help to reveal the link between volunteering and higher employability.
