3D - Dream, Discover and Do
This project was an eight day long project involving 30 people from Italy, France and Denmark. The participants were between 14 and 24 years of age, a mixed group including young people with disabilities such as hearing and visual impairment. The project was held in France accommodated on the boarding school, Maison familiale rurale de miramont de Guyenne.
3D took the young student on a journey discovering their dreams, and consider ways to put them into action. The main focus was on how to use and express one´s capacity and values in life on personal, national and European levels, - not only to discuss values or to get common values, but most of all to act in these values and to be part of “something changing”.
The overarching aim was to create a dynamic dialogue and mutual understanding amongst youth at national and international level, and to engage a mixed group of youngsters with and without disability in a project that empowered their personal resources and strengthen their awareness about the European identity they share. The methods used to reach the objective was forum theatre and theatre of oppressed techniques followed up by group discussion. Sharing emotions and thought afterwards made the activities very powerful. Also a daily debriefing in national groups followed up by a leaders meeting involving one young from each national group had a major impact on the adjustments in the program improving the quality.
