009: License to Create. Creativity in Conflict Management

009: License to Creat - Creativity in Conflict Management is a training course addressed to youth trainers and workers from Europe who are challenged to work on a daily basis in a multicultural, multiethnic environment with young people of various social background. Such work usually requires a signinficant amount of creativity together with skills in the filed of conflict management to help those youngsters, especially the unpriviledged and disabled ones, successfully integrate in society.The main objective of 009: License to Create - Creativity in Conflict Management is to provide participants with creative tools and encourage them to explore their own creative resources when dealing with conflict situations. It also aims at introducing new and innovative methods to youth workers for being aware of and preventing potential conflicts. The methods of the TC will be based on the principles of non-formal education and self-directed learning, building group dynamics and encouraging active participation while providing tools and opportunities for different learning styles. The participnats will be invited to take part in an exhibition of the creative workshops during the last day of the course and also become part of the writing team of the final product of the TC, i.e. a handbook including all the creative tools and approaches used during the course, called "The Book of Spies: Share Your Secret Weapon".009: License to Create - Creativity in Conflict Management will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria from the 22nd - 28th of May 2009 with particpants from Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain, Holland, France, The Czech Republic and Greece. The training team is composed of four participants in the Training of trainers 2008, organized by SALTO in cooperation with the National YiA Agencies.
