Sebastian Romuli
My name is Sebastian Romuli and I come from Indonesia. Since 2012, I have been working as a research fellow at Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Tropics and Subtropics Group, University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2017, I completed my doctoral thesis with great honor. The thesis was about postharvest technology of non-edible plant oil as raw material for biodiesel.
My research activities focus on renewable energy, thermochemical conversion of biomass, waste management, sustainability, plant oil production, food and agricultural technology, particularly postharvest technology for developing ;I have worked in different projects in Africa, such as Madagascar, Tanzania, Kenya, Burkina Faso and Ghana and Asia, like Indonesia and Bangladesh. Regarding cooperation activity, I have worked together with international organizations such as CIAT, IITA, IRRI and GIZ.
My ongoing projects are about development of an innovative solar dryer for high-value commodities and solar-powered sesame oil production in Africa.
At the moment, I am looking for any funding opportunities for some project ideas that we would like to further develop.
